ang health care ni gov. padaca

t'was a gloomy day on saturday october 16 when a lone gunman straffed with cal 45. bullets a "tung-itan" in calamagui 2nd., ilagan, isabela. apparently, the place a gambling den owned by a retired policeman. banong reños, a visayan immigrant and poker co-player ding beltran fell from gunshot wounds meant for jing cadeliña, younger brod of the director of the justice department. the target: known drug trafficker, escaped with just a graze in the foot. banong died a few moinutes later at the hospital while ding's family have to appeal before the attending government doctor to perform surgery and remove a bullet lodged in his "pantog." poor ding, a relative of an ex-barangay captain candidate who lost and a retired regional trial court judge, had to wait the next day only to die never been attended by dr. caliboso. allegedly, the doctor sought for "money down first" before he agrees to perform surgery on the dying old man so the latter's family had to raise P20,000 for his medicines which they have to buy at the doctor's drug store just oposite the hospital. the incident pictures the standstill stance of the new provincial administration of gov. grace padaca who is yet to show the people what she really meant of "changes" she dreamed during her campaign trail. thousands of beneficiaries of her predecessor's "provincial health care system program" have now found an empty wall leaving them uncertain for free health and medical benefits offered by the program they supported and contributed the preceding years before padaca's assumption.
